Wildlife rangers play a critical role in safeguarding biodiversity

Nicknamed the "Pearl of Africa" and home to tropical rainforests, savannah, wetlands, and river systems, Uganda is rich in biodiversity. Due to a combination of human activities and environmental changes, that biodiversity and the wildlife that thrive in it are under severe threat.

In February 2025, we aim to do our part and equip UWA's anti-poaching rangers stationed within Uganda's wildlife reserves, national parks, and sanctuaries with the field tools, navigation equipment, and protective gear they so desperately need.

We at Wildlife Defense believe that protecting wild species and wild spaces requires a multifaceted approach. That's why we dedicate our time to training initiatives, habitat preservation projects, public outreach campaigns, and equipment donations. This donation to UWA is directly in line with what we so strongly believe.
